Fixed deposits is off by default. Turn it on in Settings under Features, and Fixed Deposits appears in the sidebar.

Add a deposit

  • Enter the bank name, the amount, the interest rate, the start date and the currency.
  • Set the length either as a tenure in years or as an end date. Change one and FinTarget updates the other. Changing the start date moves the end date and keeps the tenure.
  • Add notes if you want them. You can also override the maturity amount with the figure from your bank.

Maturity amount

If you enter a maturity amount, FinTarget uses it. Otherwise it compounds the principal once a year over the tenure.

10,000 at 5% for 2 years matures at 11,025.00.

  • Active means the end date is today or in the future.
  • Matured means the end date has passed.
