Getting started
Introduction
FinTarget is a free personal finance dashboard for Australians. It tracks your share portfolios, superannuation, income, expenses, dividends, gift cards, fixed deposits and net worth in one place. You enter your own numbers, so there is no bank connection to set up.
Why FinTarget
- Super, franking and the financial year. The financial year runs July to June by default, superannuation and franking credits have their own screens, and AUD comes first.
- Seven currencies. Track AUD, USD, GBP, EUR, INR, NZD and CAD. A second currency adds a toggle on Overview, Income and Expenses.
- Nine markets. ASX, BSE, NSE, NYSE and NASDAQ, TSX, LSE, XETRA, and Euronext Paris and Amsterdam, with live share prices.
- Your data is separated at the database. FinTarget stores your records in Supabase with row-level security, so each account's rows are kept apart.

What you can do with it
- See where you stand. Overview shows income, expenses, net savings and portfolio value for any date range, with a comparison against the period before.
- Follow each holding. Portfolio shows live price, gain or loss, today's change, weight and sector for every holding.
- Prepare for tax time. Analytics has a tax year summary with income, expenses, dividends and super contributions for any financial year.
- Ask an AI app. Connect ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Cursor or Grok and ask questions about your own data in plain English. The connection is read-only unless you choose to let the app add records.
Who it's for
Everyday Australians who manage their own money and want one clear picture of it: share investors, people with super to track, and households that keep a budget and split bills.
FinTarget is a tracking tool. It shows your own records and does not give financial, tax or investment advice.
